Born in Japan and raised in California's San Bernardino Valley, I've spent the last decade making NYC my home. My love for digital design began in childhood with MS Paint and GIMP, where I meticulously created images and 'sold' them for virtual currency on my self-designed and coded storefront.
I've always been passionate about uncovering the how and why of everything, leading me to pursue a degree in psychology. Initially, my curiosity led me to acting and singing, where theatrical storytelling taught me to understand pivotal moments and the importance of emotional engagement and empathy—skills invaluable in UX design.
Before UX, I worked as an executive assistant, production coordinator, and podcast producer. Each role, whether adapting to changing priorities as an EA, generating thoughtful questions for a podcast host, or collaborating with a film production team, has shaped my approach to UX design.
What I love about UX is the ability to design solutions—starting with imaginative, out-there ideas and refining them into feasible solutions. My approach involves exploring every angle of a problem and finding what intuitively aligns with the state of things. I am driven by big questions, novel technologies, and designing for the greater good.
Beyond UX, I love singing, cooking, art & photography, ancient philosophy, gardening, crafting, and collecting more books than I can keep up with!
